Frame Grabbers for CoaXPress, CLHS-X, CXP, CoF, and Camera Link

PCIe and PCI-104 Frame Grabbers for Industrial Machine Vision

We offer a wide range of digital image acquisition frame grabbers in PCIe and PCI/104 form factors from Kaya Instruments, Gidel, and Engineering Design Team (EDT).  PCIe Gen1, Gen2, and Gen3 are supported. PCIe lanes are 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 for maximum throughput, although other cards in your PCIe slots may divide or share the available bandwidth, thus reducing the amount available to any others. Frame grabber boards come in full height or half height (PCIe FH or HH frame grabbers).

We also have PC/104 small form factor frame grabbers for high-speed I/O applications, rugged applications, graphics, and networks that may require PC104 machine vision frame grabbers. PC/104+ protocol is included, or the PCI 104 Plus standard, and PCIe/104 frame grabbers.

As well as the PCIe and PCI104 formats, our frame grabber range includes PMC form factor frame grabbers, or as image acquisition frame grabbers on FMC mezzanine carrier boards.

CoaXPress Frame Grabbers for CXP1, CXP2, CXP-6, CXP-12, 6 Gbps, and 12 Gbps, CXP Versions 1 and 2

Our CoaXPress frame grabbers transfer images between the camera and frame grabber at rates of 6 Gbps or 12 Gbps. CoaXPress Versions 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 are supported.

10GigE Vision Frame Grabbers

Industrial machine vision has found use for the expansion of GigE standard to the 10GigE Vision interface offering 10 Gbps bandwidth. Our 10GigE Vision frame grabbers are a PCIe Gen 3 card with 8 lanes. Connectors are standard fiber optic transceivers SFP, SFP+, and quad QSFP+, thus transfer rates are 10 Gbps or 40 Gbps. Either four or five 10GigE Vision cameras can be connected to the frame grabber.

CLHS-X Camera Link High Speed X-Protocol and Fibre Optic Frame Grabbers

Camera Link HS X-Protocol frame grabbers use conventional fiber optic transceivers. Throughput is 10G per SFP or SFP+ port, or as quad QSFP+ for 40G. Frame grabbers using our proprietary fiber optic interface is built on the same PCIe Gen 3 x8 boards as CameraLink HS and 10GigE Vision frame grabbers.

Camera Link Frame Grabbers for CameraLink CL

EDT and Gidel offer digital image acquisition frame grabbers conforming to the Camera Link interface. One or two CameraLink cameras can be connected with SPF, SDR26 or MDR26 connectors. Available form factors are PMC, PCI, and conventional PCIe PCI Express.

Machine Vision Frame Grabbers for 1 – 8 cameras, synchronized

Between 1 and 8 devices can be connected to each of our frame grabbers. In turn, many frame grabbers can be attached in parallel. All cameras can be synchronized across, and within, frame grabbers.  The images are stitched together on the frame grabber, and one whole image transferred to your CPU or GPU. Also, up to 100 cameras can be connected and synchronized with Gidel InfiniVision, a virtual, software-based, frame grabber.

Image Acquisition Frame Grabbers from Rauscher and Stemmer Imaging

Our machine vision technology for science and industry compares with the technical capabilities and price performance of products from Stemmer Imaging and Rauscher.

Frame grabbers by Euresys, Teledyne, and Silicon Software with CoaXPress and Camera Link interfaces are supplied by Stemmer Imaging.

Matrox Imaging and Rauscher collaborate on frame grabbers with single, dual, and quad links for CoaXPress. Matrox also manufacture CameraLink frame grabbers for base, medium, and full modes.

Industrial Cameras, Frame Grabbers, and Imaging Systems from Imperx

IMPERX makes digital and analog frame grabbers for desktops, laptops, mobile, and embedded platforms. IMPERX was the first to introduce Camera Link®, HD-SDI and full analog video streaming to laptop computers. IMPERX laptop and desktop frame grabbers feature “Self-Learn” software, which eliminates the need for camera configuration files.
