Camera Link, USB3 and CoaXPress Fiber Extenders, Repeaters, Splitters, Multiplexers, and Triggers

CXP, USB 3.0, and CameraLink have limited distances due to their copper cabling. A range extender allows a longer distance up to 100km between camera and frame grabber host using fiber optic cables. A repeater also extends the range, and a splitter allows the signal to reach two or more hosts. A multiplexer does the opposite – it combines signals from multiple cameras and transmits them to a single host (mux), where they can also be separated again with a de-mux device. A trigger receives an instruction from a host and delivers it to one or more cameras or other devices.

A fiber optic range extender also provides optical insulation for your machine vision system.

Our high performance CoaXPress, USB 3.0 and AIA CameraLink fiber-optic and coax range extenders from Engineering Design Team (EDT), Kaya Instruments, Syscom and Gidel for 2 - 40 km remote camera distance for two Camera Link cameras without repeaters. Syscom supply fiber optic or copper Camera Link range extenders, repeaters, splitters, multiplexers, and triggers.
