Two extenders combine to extend the connection between a camera and a frame grabber, which must be Camera Link compatible, either from EDT or a third party. Connection to the camera and frame grabber is through the two SDR26 connectors. The two extenders are connected by their respective SFP+ transceivers.

Camera Link provides triggering and serial, or it can optionally be provided externally via a Lemo connector.
