EDT OCM 2.7G Mezz – Optical AMC 2.7 Gb/s – Sky Blue Microsystems GmbH

EDT OCM 2.7G Mezzanine for AMC with Xilinx Virtex 6 FPGA

This solution is superseded by the OCMP daughter board, which is in turn replaced by the EDT PCIe8g3 S5 1/2-height series boards. Check for pricing and availability.

The EDT OCM 2.7G is a mezzanine board that pairs with an AMC main board to support either optical or electrical ethernet 1 GbE or OC3/12/48 (STM1/4/16), or both. It comes as full-size or a mid-size AMC slots.

One SFP (small form pluggable) transceiver per channel supports 2.7 Gbits per second. Each SFP supports 1 GbE (optical or electrical), or OC3/12/48 (STM1/4/16) at 155.52, 622.08, or 2488.32 Mb/s (1310 nm). The board has one programmable Xilinx Virtex 6 FPGA and three crystal oscillators (XOs) – one per channel and one additional – for internal reference. Each XO is independently programmable to any frequency from 10 to 215 MHz.

The board has up to 2 GB of DRAM for snapshot recording and data buffering, partitioned into two independent interfaces. An optional TCAM supports additional data processing. EDT provides FPGA configuration files so you can input and output raw data, detect to a SONET/SDH frame, or descramble a framed signal. DMA is on the main board, and more memory and FPGA.
