KY-HSMC-CXP Kaya High Speed Mezzanine Card for CoaXPress, 4 TX + 4 RX, Altera HSMC

The Kaya Instruments KY-HSMC-CXP is an Altera HSMC conformant High Speed Mezzanine Card for CoaXPress. It captures video from up to four CXP-mode cameras, and transmits over another four, making it suitable as a camera simulator. The four receive and four transmit channels operate at 6.25 Gbps each.

In addition to the included pre-programmed routines (FPGA IP), the FPGA can be programmed for user-specific pre-processing and custom protocols.

The 4 links can be implemented individually, or aggregated across devices. For example, you two channels to two cameras, and two more channels to two additional cameras, making four links.

The 4 TX host and 4 RX device links use vertical BNC connectors. Standard HSMC connectors interface to the host board, general purpose I/O and external power supply connector.

The included isolated General Purpose Input Output (GPIO) is ruggedised for harsh environments, including conduction cooling to meet industrial operating temperature ranges. It can control exposure, shaft encoders, triggers, and general IO.

The interface to the host board is by high-pin count connector (HPC). Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) delivers 13 W of power over each host link to the attached device.

Applications of the Altera HSMC conformant High Speed Mezzanine Card for CoaXPress include industrial, defence, and aerospace. Custom models are available. Standards compliance includes VITA 57.1, JIIA and ECT.
